Within your team, preventing a conflict like this one between Josie, Mark, and Victoria starts by regrouping with everyone. Check in on how everyone’s been doing outside of work to create a space of care. Then, check in with how each person feels about the split of work, like what struggles they have been dealing with and what has been going well. Reevaluate the distribution of  responsibilities for each person with specific measures, like when it needs to be done with the understanding that everyone is in a different time zone and reassign to make sure the work is even. Be supportive, patient, and clear when talking about the distribution of work. Reiterate that we are in this together as a team and we all are working toward one goal together, so that next time the team understands that it is a team effort and clear communication is essential for success. Next address the communication issue, through the use of a new information and communication technology. A new ICT creates a better sense of connection as a group, like Zoom. With the incorporation of a video chat, this can reduce the sense of disconnect by seeing each other's faces instead of a phone call.
